In future weeks of the CrossFit Open- you will have a slightly better idea about how to go about preparing for the Thursday night competition. This, of course, is based on what you do this week and then evaluate how it worked... a trial and error type of deal.
For this week- hedge your bets on taking the next 2 days easy so that you are fresh and eager to go on Thursday. You do not want to head into the Games WOD with any doubts or excuses as to not perform your best- AND you only want to hit it once:)
Get plenty of sleep, eat the food that fuels YOU best, get the blood flowing, do some mobility work and get psyched for Thursday night!

Holden's deadlift 1RM during CrossFit Total... did he lift it? |
Yesterday's answer: In Deb's 1RM attempt at 82kg following a PR at 76 kg (yesterdays's pic)... she, in fact, missed that lift! Jessica and Ollie both get points for simply commenting:)... and they accurately "see" that Deb is set up well to MAKE the lift. But what they cannot see is that she already PRd and was pretty exhausted- likely the cause of the missed lift!
Tuesday's WOD: classes at 6 and 9am, again at 4 and 6pm. Kids class at 3:15pm.
As many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of:
100/80kg Deadlift, 6 reps
10 Pull-ups
50/40kg Clean and jerk, 6 reps (Deadlift is double weight of C&J)
10 Knees to elbows
Post number of rounds and scaling to journals/chalkboard.
Weights off the ground an still a strong flat back, I'm going to say he nailed that lift.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Ollie. Rigid midline and he peeled the weight off the ground...he had to have made this one. Plus, Cooker looks excited :)
