Tuesday 130205 AMRAP 12 Min.


Many of you have noticed and commented on the Welcome to New Members section of the February Newsletter.  Yes, it is great to have so many enthusiastic newcomers to CrossFit- particularly to CrossFit Malibu.  If you are one of those newcomers- please check in with this blog everyday.  Almost every day there is a short blogpost with some information relevant to CrossFit in some way-shape-or-form that will hopefully help you along in your journey.  There is also a picture of someone from the Hut doing something interesting, intense, inspiring or otherwise noteworthy... hint- it is a good way to learn peoples' names!  And each day- Monday through Friday- there is a short description of the day's WOD (workout of the day).  This is NOT posted in order to help you decide if you are going to attend or not... but rather to prepare you for what is to come.  It might help remind you to bring your jump rope or wear a certain type of shoe.  If you check the blog while having a cocktail, it might help you decide to cut yourself off and get to bed early because the WOD is going to be tough enough without the extra nightcap.  Come to think of it- even if you are NOT one of the newcomers... please check in with the blog everyday :)

tabata set: ABABABAB
A push up
B abmat sit up
-then-
AHAP (as heavy as possible)
15 minute time limit- 5 rep split jerk from the rack
-then-
12 Minute AMRAP:
12 box jumps (24/20")
9 push press (50/35kg)
6 toes to bar
Post Tabata to tabata scoreboard, heaviest 5rep jerk and WOD time/scaling to chalkboard and journals.
