DO WORK
While the picture is blurred... it is abundantly clear that Kristin and Jessica can DO WORK. Jumping, pulling, pressing, pushing, dragging, and imparting force onto outside objects. All measurable, repeatable and observable displays of work... actions necessary in real life.
Have you seen the acronym "I.W.C.A.B.T.A.M.D" written somewhere on a chalkboard? Maybe on a chalkboard at the Hut? It is the answer to the question, "What does CrossFit prepare me for?"....For increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains. To DO WORK, a wide variety of movements (modes) and for durations that last from over half an hour (remember "RJ" last week?) to quick, short and powerful moves like cleans or snatches... moves that are completed almost instantaneously after they start. Because this is what LIFE demands. The ability to DO WORK; regardless of age, size, gender, physical limitations, etc.
And while it is true that Just Kristin's work load will be reduced over the next few days and weeks.. the GOOD NEWS is that the surgery went well and she is home resting, eating, recovering and generally feeling good. Much better than she had expected to feel post-procedure. More news each day- but all is well and she THANKS you all for your thoughts, prayers, good wishes, calls, texts and emails!
Peace, Love and Power.
