One great outcome from the trip to LAX CrossFit was climbing their big, fat, burn inducing ropes! Learning a few different ways to wrap the legs and friction belay with the feet before heading 15 feet up was beneficial. Mid-chipper there were 2 x 15' climbs that created very new and difficult sensations to deal with: a mega-quick forearm pump due to the thickness of the rope, the "oh $hit" feeling of reaching the top and knowing that the work was only half way done (they had a really big crash pad just in case) and I got a super tight adductor cramp on one leg on the lowering portion. Ouch. We need to find a way to get some of this height at the Hut.
