Welcome Loyola High School faculty! Headed by Captain Bouma, a number of teachers from the downtown LA powerhouse (*both academic and athletic!), are engaging in constantly varied, functional movement at high intensity. Early morning WODs at the Loyola track and weight room begin most mornings at about 6am with Fridays devoted to basketball. No doubt student athlete will see this group working at maximum intensity and be inspired to push a little harder. And hopefully some of those coaches using less than scientific methods to train their teams will pick up some tips from the CrossFit regimen.
Go Cubs.

Nice work Downtown Satellite! Isn't it wonderful to finish Fran as the sun rises! Great to see that your times reflect the nature of FRAN- working in the high power output zone under 10 minutes. That is where this workout belongs. So it looks as though you scaled the workout JUST RIGHT! Remember to post any scaling info- actual weight amounts, assisted pull ups etc. And Captain Bouma... point your athletes to this site so we can hear from them! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a group of 5 here at the Hut this morning!

ReplyDeleteI was pretty tired since this was the end of a 4 day cycle. I think I may be ready to do Fran as Rxd the next time it comes up!
