Bailey watches his dad, David, finish a set of push ups in last weeks' Saturday morning group WOD.

We move large loads, long distances quickly... we train to increase our work capacity across broad time and modal domains... and we also work hard to PR in workouts that build our endurance, stamina, speed, power, strength, speed and more.  But what might not be obvious to the non-CrossFitter, is that we also have built a community of people who cheer for each other to finish strong, who get together for lunch in the park, for dinner at each others' houses, who recruit family members and friends to become healthy and strong like we are.  CrossFit doesn't merely make us appear more physically able and attractive- it also helps us to become more confident, more willing to push hard through difficult tasks, more reliant on ourselves and our WOD-mates.  It is a point of convergence for people to become athletes within a community that is striving to become better individually, and grow as a group.

Close to half of all CrossFit Malibu members have a spouse, partner and/or child that also works out at the Hut!  A testament to the fact that loved ones who CrossFit together- grow strong together.
