Nanette and Mike competed in an end of the summer tradition last week- by Swimming/Running the "Slippery Dick"- a race in honor of a long time lifeguard in Malibu named Dick Haddock. The race begins at Zuma Lifeguard HQ and ends at Paradise Cove. Swim some, run some... and get to the finish line taking any short cut you like (i.e. "it's slippery"). CFMers opted to "Swim the Point"- entering the Pacific once again at the Point Dume Headland and braving the shark zone for the 1000m plunge around the corner to Big Dume. A little scary- but a great experience and fun to complete the 29th running of this annual event. More fun coming to our area with the Spartan Race Malibu, Malibu International Marathon (and more), and down in Newport Beach on October 1st, the second annual WOD SUP put on by the CrossFit Sports Series.
Tuesday's WOD Plus... 7am Yoga class too!
Complete as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of:
10 Chest to bar pull-ups
30 second Ring L-sit hold
Post number of rounds and scaling to journals/chalkboards.
