The CrossFit Games Open/Sectionals has come to an end... and we are now moving from competition preparation, execution and recovery- back into training mode. The Open was an amazing experience for many reasons. To name a few: Most of you accomplished lifts, attained scores and hit movements in ways you have NEVER before. Whether that was PRing on the snatch, doing Karen or double unders, hitting your first pull up- chin OR chest to bar, getting toes to bar, push pressing heavy- you athletes rose to the occasion. We had crowds at the gym on Thursday nights- cheering, photographing, inspiring, judging and supporting. It was really fun, we learned about our ability to push ourselves beyond. And now we move back into training mode.
As the Open moved further along- we started more readily preparing for the KNOWN- for the KNOWABLE. We predicted, practiced and primed some movements- and with great success. Moving back into training definitely means MORE unknown and unknowable. We used running during the open as a cool down from the Games WODs... now we get back into some HARD running. We start today.
Monday's WOD: 7, 9, 10am and again at 5pm. Strength class at 6pm. OnRamp at 7pm.
Run a 5k for time (5k row for non-runners)
Post results to journals, chalkboard and hopefully to the PR board.
Turn around is at 24616 Malibu Road. Mandatory turn around at 15 minute. Please bring a watch. We will depart the Hut at 8 minutes past the hour. If you are late, meet us at PCH/Cross Creek.
