Ladies and Gentlemen,
Introducing the fittest 60+ women on the planet... and some of the fittest humans that you know! What an inspiring group of athletes. Mary, from CF808 on Oahu (yellow #604) placed first, Betsy (yellow #600) was a close second and our Laurie climbed her way- chest-to-bar style- from 11th into 10th place in the 8am, Sunday morning Final. Laurie got her first c2b pull up ever, and replicated it a few times. She went with the tried and true mixed grip, double kip method. She MIGHT be looking to capitalize by coming out with some instructional videos... "How to Go Chest to Bar after an exhausting weekend of Tough WODs." Inquire within
Proud of you Laurie |
And talking about support crew... this is only a small portion of the amazing family of CFMers we had out at the Home Depot Center this weekend. About 35 members and friends were there to lend motivation, carry and set up tents, add helping hands of massage, run food and drink detail, fly across country, handle relaxation and meditation sessions, yell and cheer, make signs, wake up at 5am three days in a row, text message/call/email with updates and information, design T shirts, loan and give away tickets to each other, carpool, rub sunblock on backs, give hugs and much more...all in an effort to assist our Games athlete over the competition. So much fun. Simply because that's what our family is all about.
