Tuesday 120828 OHS and Isabel

Have you noticed the "Theoretical Hierarchy Pyramid" on the big chalkboard?  It is a concept taken from Greg Glassman's article "What is Fitness" and is a graphic explanation of the idea that each level in the pyramid is dependent on the level/concept below.  That in all- performance/fitness/ability in sport (and in life) is supported by the 4 categories of movement and preparation below.  SPORT- at the top of the pyramid- is improved by shoring up weaknesses and improving holes in your game with respect to weightlifting and gymnastics deficits, by improving metabolic conditioning... and finally (and at the most basic level) by favorable changes in nutrition.  Can you name specific ways you can address each area in order to benefit performance "up pyramid?"  Let's cut to the chase... how is your nutrition?  After all, it IS at the base of the pyramid.

Read more on the chalkboard and in the article!
